DO – Wash your vehicle by hand with clean cool water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth or sponge. Ensure you wash your car in the shade.
DO NOT – Do not use a commercial car wash. Commercial washes often will mar or otherwise damage newly repaired surfaces. Do not use a dry cloth to wipe down your vehicle. Avoid driving on gravel roads. Do not park under trees or utility lines that will commonly attract birds. Bird droppings and tree sap can tarnish or even damage a freshly painted surface. Do not spill gasoline, oil, antifreeze, or windshield cleaners on a newly painted surface.
